Spring winds are with us in Silver City and the weather is lovely. Beauty abounds at Light Art Space with the installation of “Beauty Where You Find It: an exhibition to honor the recipients of the Denis Roussel Awards.” The hand-made photographic prints, made utilizing 19th and 20th-century techniques, by 20 artists from England, Spain, and across the United States, provide the viewer with a unique in-person art experience. Reception this Friday 5 pm – 7 pm.

This exhibition features photographic work by 20 artists from across the globe. These award-winning artists create hand-made photographs using alternative 19th and 20th-century printing processes.

Light Art Space is pleased to announce two final exhibitions of 2021. “Stages, An Art Making Life” is a retrospect by Mimi Calise Peterson featuring work from 1986 – 2021. Juan Valesco has filled the Flash Gallery with “A Revolution in Wood” – one-of-a-kind wood sculptures made from local woods. The work of these two Silver City artists will be on display through January 1st.
