At Light Art Space, we are so grateful for your support. This past year, so many of you joined our new membership program and participated in our Seven Year Itch Auction, donating your artwork and bidding on and purchasing artwork. Both programs were successful.
With your support, we have a gardener improving the event space/sculpture garden. It is looking beautiful! We have replaced many of the burned-out gallery lights and repaired the metal garden gate. An engineer and a plumber from Las Cruces worked on solving our septic odor problem. They made improvements, but the problem is not fully resolved. We are waiting for one more ancient steel pipe to be replaced and hoping that will be the final solution.
In April, Light Art Space was awarded a $24,593 grant from the New Mexico Creative Industries Division! We are one of 10 recipients statewide. With this grant and additional funds from our fall auction and membership fees, we will install a new HVAC system to enable year-round programming, including workshops, lectures, and exhibitions. The equipment has been ordered, so once it arrives, we hope the installation will begin.
June has arrived, so it’s time to renew your membership! Many of you ticked the box for a recurring annual payment, so that will happen automatically on the date you joined. If your membership is not on auto-renewal, you can go to this link to renew: https://lightartspace.com/annual-membership/
Those of you who are not members, it is never too late to join!
Thank you for your support.
