A Slot Canyon Photographic Adventure

May 9th, 6 pm—7:30 pm, and 10th, 8 am—4 pm, with an optional night photographing event.
Join Photographer George Austin for an exciting adventure to explore some wonderful slot canyons in the Gila National Forest.
Optional night photographing event Saturday evening.
$125 plus tax.

We will Meet and greet at Light Art Space at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the details of the adventure and George’s presentation of images.
The next morning we Meet up at 8:00 and depart for Purgatory Slot Canyon in the Lake Roberts area of the Gila. This is a delightful short hike.
After the hike, we will have a picnic lunch at Lake Roberts and watch the fish jumping. Then take the short drive to Skates Canyon to explore one of the most fun and easy slot canyons in the Gila.
We will plan to return to Silver City by 4:00 pm. We will break for dinner or eat as a group then for anyone interested, George will lead a night sky adventure to the Cherry Creek overlook near Pinos Altos to capture the Milky Way, providing the weather cooperates.
