Workshop with Jo Andersen and Vanessa Dearing

This class introduces you to a variety of ways to create unique printing images. Monotypes are a fast way to loosely draw, paint trace scratch and use stencils to make abstract or representational imagery. We will be pulling prints by hand and using the electric press at Light Art Space. We provide a large variety of paper and will work with water-based inks. We will cover these printing techniques: ghost, trace, additive, reductive, and layered. This is a fun overview of monotype printing techniques. No experience is necessary. Come ready to print, print, print.
