Monotype Mania!
Printmaking Workshop with Carmen Ruiz

Mixed-Media Printmaking Without A Press!!

This is a two-day, non-toxic, fun workshop of creative, simple techniques that render unique, one-of-a-kind results. It encourages play and experimentation. Fast and friendly way to printmake on fine art papers and cloth, without a press, using three methods: subtractive, additive and masking.

MONOTYPE printmaking offers endless possibilities for combining color, texture, and design. Simply apply paint to the printing plate with a soft brayer, make your marks and impressions and your print is ready to be pulled by hand. Abstract or figurative images may be implemented. Printing plate is easily and quickly wiped down with a wet cloth, and you’re ready to do it again! ! Limitless opportunities to experiment, adapt, combine and layer. Working with monotype is easy, fast, messy, and fun… and totally addicting!!
