Description
Experimental Printmaking without a Press: Monotype and Image transfer
This is a one-day, relaxed exploration of simple printmaking techniques which lend themselves to experimentation and play.
Without using a printing press, the hand-printed results are unexpected and one-of-a-kind.
These creative methods can easily add interesting layers to paintings, photographs, and drawings.
All non-toxic materials and printmaking tools will be provided for this fun workshop.
Each participant will leave with multiple prints and one printing plate.
No Experience necessary for this fun workshop!
Instructor Bio:
Carmen Ruiz is a professional studio artist and bilingual art educator. She works in mixed-media, graphic design, painting, clay, paper and wood sculpture, drawing, art photography, and printmaking. From Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ruiz now lives and works in her studio in Downtown Silver City, NM. She is represented by Light Art Space Gallery.
