Memory and Desire

Brazilian artist João Galera is the first Silver City and WNMU Artist in Residence. He arrived in Silver City in June 2019. João is a multi-artist, who does drawing, painting, collage, and sewing, but it is the act of drawing that makes him forget time. He is currently exploring the theme of personal and collective memory for his creations. In this exhibition, João will present drawings and tapestries.
