Facing Forward is a juried exhibition of handmade prints created by women of color.
During this time of unrest and uncertainty, this exhibition seeks to present works by women of color that speak to the future in challenging and inspiring ways.
“Handmade prints” are loosely defined. 3D, installation, and experimental work is encouraged and alternative display methods will be accommodated when possible.
Light Art Space invites Black, Latina, Indigenous women, and all self-identifying women of color – historically under-represented artists working in the visual arts – to submit.
Presented by Light Art Space sponsored by the Southwest Print Fiesta, Silver City, New Mexico.
The deadline to submit is September 13th, 2020.
