Art making has been a constant in my life for decades.

Receiving my MFA in sculpture from the University of Hawaii, and my BA’s from San Francisco State University. Home base has also included Kathmandu, New York, Israel, and the Sea of Cortez. Coming to Silver City, NM in 1994 I continued my teaching career, and established my studio. Currently I am a full-time artist, giving occasional workshops.

My work has been widely exhibited and is represented in permanent collections including Western New Mexico University, and future: Bayard Public Library Park, and Mundum International Museum in Nepal.

Poetic Spirit best describes the stories behind my Art. Reflecting my life experiences; nature and social commentary are common themes with appreciation for the mediative qualities found in balanced design.

Working primarily in clay, forms are sensual and surfaces rich, ranging in scale from handheld to exterior public works.

Ceramic works are most often modeled with mid-fired clay bodies and completed by multiple electric firings with specialty glazes.

Explorations in sculpture include construction materials and techniques. I also enjoy working in 2-d with acrylic and mixed media.
