Joel Armstrong
Bio

Joel Armstrong grew up in Corpus Christi, TX, where he grew to love fishing, salt air, humidity, and rust. After over 20 years as an illustrator and art director, he went back to school, where he received his MFA in drawing from Colorado State University (2001). At CSU, his work became wire-based and focused on installation art. He proceeded to teach art and illustration for 15 years at John Brown University. He is well versed in many mediums and continues to produce and excel in colored pencils, wire drawing, installation, collage, and multi-media.
